I Turned Off My Phone Notifications for a Week, and Here’s What Happened
Hi everyone! How are you guys? Did you manage to adjust to your back-to-school routine? Waking up early and making myself go to sleep before midnight was real torture for me until I decided to do a little EXPERIMENT ON MYSELF. To be honest, I was rather skeptical about the results in the beginning, but what happened later truly AMAZED ME!In one of the teen magazines, I read that turning off phone notifications can make you calmer and less stressed, so I decided to try it. At first, I was a bit terrified at the idea of turning off ALL my phone notifications. After all, I’m so used to getting alarmed EVERY HALF AN HOUR, that it sometimes feels like my phone is actually a part of my hand. Anyway, I wanted to challenge myself, so I switched off my e-mail notifications first. Then Facebook followed. Instagram — GONE, YouTube — BYE, TikTok — SEE YOU LATER. Muting my WhatsApp was the hardest, and I instinctively kept checking it every hour to see what was new on the first day.
