A 24-Year-Old Sanitation Worker Became a Harvard Student, and His Story Deserves to Be Turned Into a Movie

Rehan Staton, 24, had to wake up at 4 AM every morning to work as a garbage collector. He chose work over college in order to support his dad and brother. Since after their mom abandoned them, they struggled to make ends meet. It would seem that his circumstances had all but determined Rehan’s fate, but this year he was accepted to 5 different universities, including Harvard.
